The weeks I don’t market myself... are the weeks I regret.
There was a time I didn’t post anything at all.
No content.
No offers.
No reminders that I even existed.
And it wasn’t because I was lazy.
I just felt... weird about it.
Like if I posted too often, or told people what I do, it would look like I was desperate.
I used to think clients would magically appear.
That if I just did good work quietly, someone would notice.
But no one did.
Because I wasn’t showing up anywhere.
And the worst part?
I could see people around me doing it.
Everyone was posting.
Everyone had CTAs.
Everyone was putting themselves out there.
And I was sitting there, refreshing my inbox.
I still remember how I felt those weeks.
Like I was falling behind.
Like I was invisible.
And I was.
Eventually, I had to be honest with myself:
“If I don’t market myself, no one will do it for me.”
That was the switch.
Now I write 3-5 posts a week.
Nothing fancy. Just real stuff.
If I see a problem fintech founders are facing, I write about it.
If someone asks me a good question, I turn it into a post.
At the end, I just say:
If this sounds familiar, I help with stuff like this.
No pressure. No fluff.
It’s not perfect.
But it’s working.
And more importantly, I don’t feel invisible anymore.
If you're in the same boat - nervous to market yourself, scared it’ll look like begging - let me say this:
Marketing isn't begging.
It’s just letting people know you exist, and how you can help.
That’s it.
Something to try this week
(not next month, not next quarter - this week):
Pick one problem your clients face.
Write about how you’d solve it.
End the post with: “If you’re facing something similar, feel free to reach out.”
Done.
Do that 2–3 times.
Keep it light. Keep it useful.
Don’t overthink it.
Just start showing up.
You’ll be surprised how much changes when people know what you actually do.
